Loch Ness Tour
We think that to properly experience the rich history of Inverness-shire and the mysterious Loch Ness requires at least two days.
Duration: 2 days
We begin at the the 15th century Stirling Castle, home to Scottish Kings since Alexander 1 and the regimental museum of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders…northwards into the Highlands with refreshments at Kilmahog near Callander…through Rob Roy MacGregor country to the Pass of Glencoe Visitor Centre to hear about the infamous massacre of the Clan MacDonald in 1746…lunch at Fort William…then Fort Augustus and the west side of the legendary Loch Ness to Urquhart Castle, which played a crucial role in the wars os Scottish Independence. Complete the day with a cruise on the Royal Scot and see if you can glimpse “Nessie” – we haven’t yet but we like to keep trying!
On to Inverness, the “capital” of the Highlands…the 400-year-old stone circles at Clava Cairns and the battlefield of Culloden where the brave Jacobites were defeated by government soldiers in 1746. South through the Cairngorms, past Aviemore and over the Drumochter Pass to the Victorian town of Pitlochry where you can enjoy a light supper or maybe enjoy a dram with a visit to Scotland’s smallest working distillery, Edradour.

It was great to meet you last week and thanks for your wonderful service. We and the Harmons certainly appreciated your great professional work as well as your wonderful personality and terrific service. You are so kind in every way and really made our trip and we thank you for it.
We made it safely back home and now we need to arrange a vacation to rest from our travels! Seriously, it’s good to be back home and there’s lots to do as we move into the fall and college football season in the U.S.
Again, thanks for all you did for us and we look forward to seeing you on our next trip to Scotland.

Our holiday with Scotland’s Chauffeur Tours was better than we ever imagined. The entire trip was well organised, accommodation was first class and our guide was a credit to Scotland. One of the many highlights was experiencing our Scottish New Year celebration…a most memorable travel experience for all the right reasons! We would love to come back with all of the family for our next adventure.
